why las lajas?Las Lajas is a very quiet town close to its beautiful and long beach on the Pacific Ocean, two ATM, markets and restaurants.
It's also the perfect place to relax and refresh during your long trips trough the Panamerican highway. Check the interactive map on the right to learn more about the area. Driving on the Panamerican highway, 70 km from David circa turn south direction Las Lajas, at the intersection of San Felix: driving on the main road, we are after 2 km on the left.
Take the small bus to Las Lajas town at the terminal and ask the driver to stop directly in front of La Pepita de Marañon (If he doesn't know where it is, tell him close to MIDA).
If the Las Las bus is not available, you can get also the San Felix one, but you have to get off at the San Felix Cross and take a taxi straight to La Pepita de Marañon. (Not more than 2$) |
Take a bus to David and get off at San Felix stop: from there take a taxi for 2 km straight to La Pepita de Marañon. (If the taxi driver doesn't know where it is, tell him close to MIDA. Not more than 2$)
From Las Lajas to other destinations: There are many buses both night and day to reach David, Panama City, Bocas del Toro and all the others places. They leave from the San Felix cross bus stop and you get the ticket on board for short rides and in the ticket office there for the express ones. Check this site for more infos. |
